We may all be in need of a little extra sparkle this year and the first ever Sherston Advent House Trail aims to do just that with well over 100 houses taking part!
Take a look at the Advent House Map 2020 to see which houses and businesses are decorating and lighting up their windows or gardens every night right up until the 24th December, 5.30pm-8.30pm.
The full trail will take place on the 23rd December, with all the Advent Houses illuminated, and hopefully it will be a crisp starry night as we wander around (socially distanced!) enjoying our village. We have a mini trail of all the Advent Houses numbered 1-5 on Saturday 5th December to help kick off Christmas too! Holy Cross Church will host a very special advent display on the 24th December.
If you fancy joining in and decorating a window or your garden there is still time – the more the merrier! There are lots of ideas on the internet if you pop in ‘living advent’. Think creating tissue paper pictures on your window, a scene using Christmas toys, baubles in your tree or paper snowflakes in all your windows! We can add you to the map – which will be updated daily in December. Email Kirsty: Kirsty.firstname.lastname@example.org
Don’t forget to observe social distancing and the relevant government guidelines when you are out and about looking at the Advent Houses and thank you to everyone taking part in making Sherston that bit more magical. Merry Christmas!
