We may all be in need of a little extra sparkle this year and the first ever Sherston Advent House map aims to do just that with well over 100 houses taking part!
Take a look at the map to see which houses and businesses are adding a little ‘more Christmas’ and adorning their windows or gardens with little scenes and an extra decoration or ten every night right up until the 24th December, 5.30pm-8.30pm. It could start a tradition of a magical family walk before dinner to look at the new Advent Houses lighting up each night or make taking a stroll with your dog more fun on a chilly evening.
From the map you will see there are a new set of Advent Houses lighting up each night and you might even catch a few leaving their lights on after their Advent House number too. But in case you missed any – all the Advent Houses will be illuminated on the 23rd December and hopefully it will be a crisp starry night as we wander around (socially distanced of course!) enjoying our village.
We also have a mini light up of all the Advent Houses numbered 1-5 on Saturday 5th December to help kick off Christmas too (5.30pm-8.30pm)! Holy Cross Church will host a very special advent display on the 24th December.
If you fancy joining in and adding that little bit ‘more Christmas’ to your House there is still time – the more the merrier! Check out ‘living advent’ on the internet for lots of ideas.
Please don’t forget to observe social distancing and the relevant government guidelines when you are out and about looking at Advent Houses and thank you to everyone taking part in making Sherston that bit more magical. Merry Christmas!
