We would love as many people to take part in the trail as possible – you simply need a window in Sherston and a willingness to have a go on the 7th and 8th October 2017. No artistic skills necessary! It’s totally free to take part and it’s great fun to participate in and open to EVERYONE.
What’s it all about?
Window Wanderland started in Bristol in 2015 where people, just like you, made a display for their window or garden forming a walking trail for a Winters evening. We have extended it slightly as we are also running the trail during the day (to coincide with the scarecrow trail) with a special light up trail on the Sunday evening of the 8th October 2017 – 6.30pm-9.00pm. Start of at dusk on the High Street with a Hot Chocolate and take a wander around the magical streets of Sherston with a FREE map.
But to make it happen we need lots of people to get involved. You can do whatever you want, from a candle in the window, to a band in your living room or a cut out silhouette, simple to spectacular- it’s completely up to you as Anything Goes!
What do I need to do?
Complete this form here and you are all signed up. Just click take part and it will take less than one minute and you will be part of the first ever Sherston Window Wanderland. You don’t have to decide what you are doing now – all we need to know is that you fancy having a go. You will then receive an email from Window Wanderland with some thoughts – it mentions printing out a venue poster for your window but we can do that here. If you would like one email Kirsty.firstname.lastname@example.org.
Let’s make our streets special by joining in with this unusual festival, I think our community could make a great Window Wanderland!
Help I love it but I need some ideas!
Click here for lots of window ideas and to get a feel for how amazing the event will be. Don’t forget it’s just for fun and there really is no artistic skill necessary – get everyone involved… the children could make a toy display or they could make some silhouettes for the windows. There are loads of ideas on the Window Wanderland website – feel free to use any of them!
